January 2008 - 22 dogs seized from vehicle in parking lot

On January 16, 22 dogs were seized from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart in Salem, NH . Nine of those dogs were believed to have come from a puppy mill from northern Maine. Those dogs are being held in the kennel of the Salem Animal Rescue League. Animal control officer Kelly Demers is working on securing the full release of these animals so he can turn them over to SARL for proper treatment. Once in our custody all the dogs will receive full vet exams and much needed medical assistance. None of these dogs are available for adoption at this time. Donations to help these neglected dogs will be greatly appreciated. Click here for continuing updates!
