Whiskers and Tails' Annual Fundraiser
Throughout the year, SARL has held several fundraising events. This evening will be the highlight of 2009. Our community outreach team has worked hard to bring together a wonderful entertainer, a beautiful venue, and great auction items.

About SARL

The Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) is a volunteer not for profit 501 (c) (3) organization whose goal is to find permanent, loving homes for the abandoned and unwanted animals in Salem, NH and surrounding communities. We are committed to a 100% spay/neuter policy of all animals adopted from our shelter.

SARL is a limited admission shelter. We assist all Salem strays as a first priority. We accept owner surrenders but since our shelter has a limited capacity, all inquiries for intake will be given a full assessment for level of care/need/space before being approved to come in. We do NOT euthanize for space. As one is adopted and cage or kennel space opens up another will be approved to come in. During busy times of the year we do maintain a wait list. Please leave us a message at 603 893-3210 or by e-mail ( General E-mail , Cat Specific , or Dog Specific)

Monthly Ongoing Events

pennyPennies for Paws

Consider collecting pennies for our puppies. A penny drive in your school, office, neighborhood or local church can help us support our efforts to save more dogs. Pennies add up! We are happy to roll any loose pennies dropped off at our shelter. Participants are asked to bring their pennies to the rescue league anytime during open hours or call us at 603-893-3117 for a pickup. This is a word of mouth campaign so please tell your friends, neighbors, fellow employees all about it. Never underestimate the power of the penny!

All newspaper collected will not only help the environment by keeping material out of our landfills but we will receive a fee for every ton of paper we call to have picked up. White paper and newspapers are accepted. Please no colored paper or plastic coated materials. Organize a paper drive and bring your paper to the shelter and dispose in the bright yellow container to help the animals.
